- Do you need to rest and find peace of mind?
- Do you desire inner peace and deeper spiritual freedom?
- Do you desire a deeper and more meaningful relationship with Christ?
- Do you have important decisions to make about your life?
- Do you seek to understand the path your life has taken?
- Are you in transition and seeking to discern your next steps?
- Are you in a leadership position and desire a more contemplative approach to your work?
What happens on a retreat?
Individually directed silent retreats can be arranged year-round to fit your schedule. The retreats may be adapted to meet you where you are, emotionally and spiritually, in order to focus on the way God is active in your life. Each day you will have material to pray over and you will meet daily with a spiritual director. The rest of the time is spent prayerfully relaxing, reading spiritual texts, journaling, doing art, hiking the trail, or otherwise enjoying the natural environment of Pike National Forest.
There is no one method or source of prayer. In retreat we draw on a number of Christian sources. Though a readiness to pray with scripture is important, there is opportunity for stillness as well. Retreat is a good opportunity to discover new ways of praying as well as to enhance your usual prayer.
There is a process inherent in a retreat that aims to help you reach interior freedom, and to enable your response to your personal call of Christ to help build the Kingdom of God.
